Our February Activity was so much fun!
We did a date auction. And the entry fee? Canned goods for charity.
And boy did our tenants deliver! We made a hefty donation to the local Family Crisis Center as well as delivered some home made cards to the children in our local hospital.
They were so happy to get cards from our students and Feel the Love!
The balloon dartboard was a big “hit”!
The balloons had money, candy, and other free stuff inside them!
And of course, it wouldn’t be an Aspen activity without asking for a little creativity from our incredibly talented tenants!

This semester was our biggest turnout yet!
We invited Albertson’s to come spoil our tenants with freebies!
We had even more toppings than ever before! Can you say ‘whipped cream’? YUMMMMY!
Strawberries, bananas, peanut butter and of course warm maple syrup!
And (drum roll please) for your viewing pleasure…..THE AVENGERS!!!!
And to make things EVEN sweeter – we gave away a $10 gift card to Albertson’s in our ON TIME Drawing
as well as several FREE BYUI Student Body T-shirts to our raffle winners!
All in all it was a HUGE success!!
First, there was the pie eating contest..

The challenge: Eat a whole pie without the use of your hands.
The competition was fierce, but in the end there was a clear winner:

What’s more fun than eating a pie?
Throwing a pie in someones face.
We had three gracious volunteers for the task:
At first, they were excited.
Then they were horrified
The throwers showed no mercy.
While the pie throwing was going on, our pie baking contest was being judged.

After much deliberation, the judges decided to award the $30 gift certificate to the pecan pie.
Finally, after all the fun and games, we served up pumpkin, cherry, and apple pie for everyone while they relaxed with a movie.

So what did you do for Halloween in Rexburg? Carve a pumpkin, go to a BYUI dance, get lost in a straw maze, eat live meal worms?
Yup, Aspen Village Apartments hosted yet another successful activity! With Halloween just around the corner we put together a Monster Bash, complete with games, prizes, a costume contest, and fear factor…(see the live meal worms below)

Every semester Aspen Village pulls out all the stops and cooks up a mean pancake breakfast for the students and their friends. This semester was an awesome turn out as everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, watched the movie Rio, got to know their neighbors, and stuffed their faces with as many pancakes as possible.
